The rest of Radiohead had better congratulate Thom Yorke on LinkedIn, because the frontman just got a new job. Frenesy Films and Mythology Entertainment have announced that Yorke will compose the score for Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 cult classic, Suspiria. The original featured music from the prog rock group Goblin, and that score has itself become an iconic cult favorite on par with the film. But, hey, Yorke is the singer and multi-instrumentalist of an experimental band responsible for some of the most influential, critically-adored albums of the last two decades. May as well let him give this Suspiria thing a shot, right?
Guadagnino (I Am Love, A Bigger Splash) has cast Dakota Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Mia Goth, and Tilda Swinton in his remake. Suspiria is expected to be released later this year. Yorke’s soundtrack is expected to be completely drowned out by the irritated groans of horror nerds.
