Last night on Instagram, Taika Waititi and Tessa Thompson popped on a livestream as a harsh isolation reminder that we’re all woefully unattractive and hopelessly charmless by comparison. But on the bright side, Waititi also gave an update on his Thor: Love and Thunder script, and it sounds terribly exciting/ridiculous.
“It’s so over the top now, in the very best way,” said the writer-director. “It makes Ragnarok seem like a really run-of-the-mill, sort of very safe film.
“There’s a lot of set pieces. This new film feels like we asked a bunch of ten-year-olds what should be in a movie, and just said yes to every single thing.”
The takeaway? Thor is going to ride a dinosaur, Christian Bale is playing Dracula, and it’s going to be super awesome.
