The latest entry in Tommy Wiseau’s woefully self-aware career third act (we may never truly know what all his first act entailed), Big Shark is, as it sounds, The Room mastermind’s play on Jaws. Re-teaming with Greg Sestero (Oh, hai, Mark!), Wiseau here blends his savvy understanding of comedy and relationship dynamics with what can only be described as a big shark.
This first trailer falls leagues below the Sharknado franchise in acting, production value, and high-concept intrigue, but with Wiseau at the helm, it’s hard not to sniff at this cinematic blood in the water with some morbid curiosity.
Big Shark is expected to arrive later this year.
