While the Fast Saga has somehow managed to as yet eschew fist-fighting robots, Vin Diesel will himself make up for that.
Diesel just announced that he’s prepared to make a worse Real Steel, signing on to star in a live-action movie based on the Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots toy. Mattel is making this the latest addition to their stable of increasingly ludicrous film adaptations.
“To take the classic Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em game, with Mattel as my partner, and align it with the kind of world-building, franchise-making success we have had with Universal, is truly exciting,” Diesel said in a statement. It is not yet clear if he’ll be the red one or the blue one.
