After John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, a B- third outing that was just more of the same (not that it shouldn’t have been), there may have been some question whether the formula of “Keanu Reeves wearing a suit and killing a bunch of MF’ers” needed to be explored for a fourth time.
Well, the trailer for the simply-titled John Wick: Chapter 4 is here to answer that question. The answer? Yeah, we’re thinkin’ we’re back. (Remember? This was a quote from the movie.)
This time, John Wick is fighting martial arts icon Donnie Yen and creepy little shit Bill Skarsgård! B-list martial arts icon Scott Adkins is also there! As is Clancy Brown! And not only does Wick ride both horse and motorcycle again—now he’s got NUNCHUCKS.
We aren’t talking Bruce Lee nunchuck stuff either. This isn’t some flashy, song-and-dance Michelangelo scene where he’s doing all these theatrics. This is nunchaku as God intended when He invented them: WHACK, WHACK, WHACK. It’s so cool. We are definitely back for this.
