Will Smith may be joining Disney’s live-action Dumbo adaptation, and, ha ha, is he going to play the title role? Because of his ears. His ears sort of stick out.
In fact, we don’t yet actually know who he’d be playing, but Deadline reports that the studio is eyeing the actor and attempting to overcome “a number of hurdles” to get him in the film. Tim Burton is directing from a script from three-time Transformers writer Ehren Kruger. Should the casting work out, maybe Kruger could add in a line where Smith is like, “You think my ears are big? Then check out this particular baby elephant!” And then we pan over to Dumbo looking absolutely destroyed.
