As they say, “any bald, broken-nosed port in a storm.” Thusly, with Jason Statham recently walking away from action-comedy The Man from Toledo, Columbia Pictures has now reportedly signed Woody Harrelson to take the part.
It’s a casting swap that feels like using ketchup when a recipe calls for Sriracha. On a purely visual level, it almost makes sense how you’d think they’re interchangeable, but the flavor is completely different.
Anyway, Harrelson will star opposite Kevin Hart in this thing, said to use “a case of a mistaken identity as its jumping off point after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the Man from Toronto, and a New York City screw-up run into each other at an Airbnb.” So if you liked Hart playing panicked comic relief to a tough guy in Central Intelligence and Ride Along, good news: you’re getting that again.
