YTMND-NBC: Finding Forrester remake series headed to NBC

With Sean Connery no longer around to protest, NBC is finally moving on with a project we’ve all long dreamed of: a lose remake of Finding Forrester as a broadcast TV drama.

The adaptation is reportedly in development from The Chi executive producers TJ Brady and Rasheed Newson, director Tim Story, and NBA star Stephen Curry. The original saw a gifted writer and basketball talent getting into a prestigious high school and befriending a reclusive writer. The re-do will ask what the Bond franchise already did: What if the 007 part was now a black lesbian? So the recluse writer has become a black lesbian and, in another change-up, the teen is homeless and without a family.

You’re orphan now, dog.
