Hunger Games franchise to continue decline into the past

After four films of declining revenue, Lionsgate is ready to give The Hunger Games another shot at making them some money.

With Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins ready to toss a prequel novel on shelves by this time next year, Lionsgate is likewise reportedly ready to make this the Fantastic Beasts lesser-than the franchise deserves.

“As the proud home of the Hunger Games movies, we can hardly wait for Suzanne’s next book to be published. We’ve been communicating with her during the writing process and we look forward to continuing to work closely with her on the movie,” Lionsgate chair Joe Drake said of the inevitable adaptation.

It’s not yet clear when we’ll get the film where it’s just Battle Royale with an epilogue where Collins asks, “Could this be more lamely dystopian young-adult though?”
