Borderlands‘ vision of a Mad Max where all the characters are insufferably goofy and constantly screaming is heading to theaters!
Lionsgate has announced that they’re turning the fun-enough loot-and-shoot video game into a feature film. Eli Roth is, aptly enough, set to direct this violent cartoon, with Craig Mazin providing the script. Mazin recently won an Emmy for his writing on Chernobyl, but his work prior speaks to his proclivity for writing the big, loud, unbearable characters Borderlands demands: the guy wrote RocketMan, Senseless, two Scary Movies, Superhero Movie, and Identity Thief.
