The latest from The Lobster‘s Yorgos Lanthimos returns the director to crustacean work—but now the lobsters are being raced and eaten by the always enjoyable Olivia Colman. The Favourite sees her in the role of a kooky and belligerent Queen Anne; Rachel Weisz co-stars as Lady Sarah, the Cheney to Anne’s W, the one quietly governing the country behind the scenes. Emma Stone plays Abigail, the new servant who ingratiates herself with Sarah with an eye on usurping her and becoming the queen’s of course British-spelling favourite. Nicholas Hoult takes his Mad Max powdered-white face to a dandy new level as Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer.
