Elaborating upon prior conflicts of the franchise, Disney is going to tear out Indiana Jones’s heart, make it live forever, and place it alongside some bullshit alien mythology.
According to Variety, the studio is looking to develop a new Indiana Jones streaming series for Disney+. It’s said Disney is currently meeting with writers for a take on the project. As of now, the tissue-thin premise is simply “further stretching beloved intellectual property to its breaking point.”
Given that Harrison Ford is 80 years old and already injured himself (again!) on the set of the latest Indiana Jones movie Disney convinced him to do, it seems unlikely he’d reprise the role he originated. And given that The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles was already done as a TV show in the early ‘90s…
Maybe it’s time the franchise was given a series of Shorts?
