Matthew McConaughey to star in a Guy Ritchie gangster movie

Alright, alright, alright, bruv: Matthew McConaughey has signed on to star in a Guy Ritchie gangster movie. McConaughey will be joined by Kate Beckinsale and Crazy Rich Asians‘ Henry Golding in Toff Guys, Ritchie’s return to the sort of intense crime films that got him famous. According to Variety, “The story explores the collision between European ‘old money’ and the modern marijuana industry. It follows a British drug lord attempting to cash out on his highly profitable empire by selling it off to a dynasty of Oklahoma billionaires.” In other words, it seems sadly unlikely we’ll get to hear McConaughey try a cockney accent.
