Good news if you’re a middle-schooler whose parents aren’t cool enough to let you watch R-rated movies. Deadpool 2 is returning to theaters with a new cut, boasting some new sequences and a PG-13 rating. It’s titled Once Upon a Deadpool, and judging by its trailer, it’s taking Deadpool another meta layer deeper—Princess Bride-style. Now the film is framed around Deadpool playing the storybook-reading Peter Falk to Fred Savage’s… Fred Savage. Also, now they’re taking shots at Nickelback. About time someone took those guys down a peg, right?
We’ll see what other low-hanging fruit the Merc with the Now-Tamer Mouth takes swings at when Once Upon a Deadpool hits theaters December 12.
