Baz Luhrmann has found the perpetually brooding face of his Elvis movie.
According to Deadline, The Dead Don’t Die and Shannara Chronicles’ star Austin Butler has beaten out the likes of Ansel Elgort, Miles Teller, and Harry Styles for the role of Elvis Presley in Luhrmann’s yet-untitled drama. Butler will star opposite Tom Hanks, who’s playing Presley manager Colonel Tom Parker, in a film that tracks the musician’s rise from poor Southern boy to the King of Rock and Roll. About time someone explained who Elvis was, right?
