Good news for anyone who thought the Vacation franchise involved too much vacationing! HBO Max (we’re still not sure how this is different than HBO Now or Go, but whatever) is reportedly at work on a new Vacation spin-off sitcom that will inexplicably not involve holidays whatsoever!
Titled The Griswolds, the series will “follow the family and explore their daily lives in the suburbs of modern-day Chicago,” which sounds exactly like Family Matters but with Randy Quaid as Urkel, but sure. Giving some loose, tertiary credit to the misguided project, Big Bang Theory‘s Johnny Galecki, who played Rusty in Christmas Vacation, is an executive producer.
Sooooooo….
