Well, this is sure to be many a Baby Boomer dads’ favorite thing since falling asleep in their recliner. Written by Tom Hanks, Greyhound sees the actor once again captaining an ill-fated vessel as a Navy Lieutenant Commander fighting the odds against a fleet of U-boats. The entire thing is just shots of WWII-era ships fighting, peppered with close-ups of Hanks looking concerned. Oh, and Hanks wrote it too, because the guy knows his prime audience: other aging fathers who got weirdly obsessed with World War II.
