Unable to resist the allure of a smirking comic book psychopath, Deadpool 2‘s Zazie Beetz has joined one our numerous Joker movies. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she’s signed on to co-star in the one where Joaquin Phoenix will play Joker—as opposed to the perhaps multiple Joker films that will see Jared Leto continue in the role. It’s said Beetz will play “a single mother who catches the interest of the man who will become the ‘clown prince of crime.'” So this one is like Joker’s Jerry Maguire?
