The historically steep box office drop-off of Addams Family films (Addams Family Values barely earned back its $47 million budget after the original became an unlikely $191.5 million hit) apparently isn’t concerning MGM.
Following their new, animated Addams Family‘s mediocre $30 million opening weekend, the studio has already put in the order for a sequel. They’re said to be aiming for an October 21, 2021 release date, which seems premature given that I haven’t even seen this Addams Family on a pinball machine.
