Dave Bautista has signed on to star in the latest from M. Night Shyamalan. Bad news, though: he doesn’t even get to go to the beach that makes you old.
According to Deadline, Bautista is set to lead Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin. While plot details aren’t yet known, the film will almost certainly not return the Dune star to the sands (this being sands that would make him old). This will probably be a movie where Bautista is not on a weird beach but just some dumb cabin—a secluded house where he ages at a completely normal, disappointing rate. It’s likewise unclear whether Universal could make, like, a straight-to-video Old 2: Older, where maybe it’s Gary Sinise or someone aging really fast on a beach. Probably not, but is it really any more unlikely than a beach that makes you old?
