Denis Villeneuve is also directing a Dune streaming series

The lessons of Universal’s The Dark Tower debacle already forgotten, Warner Bros. is doing a very early all-in bet on Dune. Though Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve only started filming his new Dune adaptation, already he and the studio are hot on doing a Dune series, too.

The two are reportedly now teaming up for Dune: The Sisterhood, a series about the Bene Gesserit, a matriarchal order whose members have trained their minds and bodies to superhuman levels. So get ready for some unbearable nerds to get vocally outraged about this!

The Sisterhood has been given a straight-to-series order, with the pilot being headed up by Villeneuve, his Dune co-writer Jon Spaihts tackling the script. But there’s some bad news if you ever want to actually watch it: you’re going to have to sign up for another GD streaming service. It’s apparently an exclusive for WarnerMedia’s upcoming bullshit.
