At last, 1988’s Hot to Trot has its bizarre spiritual successor. Have a look with the first trailer for Detective Pikachu, the film that will be the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie for a new generation looking to see its childhood entertainment brought to life belatedly and kind of strangely. Ryan Reynolds stars as the voice no one ever imagined Pikachu having, with Justice Smith (The Get Down, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) co-starring as the only man who for some reason understands the language of the blushing, yellow electro-rat.
