Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness teaser admits Marvel’s things have got out of hand

After feeding our appetite for Sam Raimi superhero garbage with a Willem Dafoe Green Goblin and Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus, Spider-Man: No Way Home offered a dessert: an after-the-credits teaser for Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. If you didn’t stick around, or didn’t see this fun-but-flawed Spider-Man trilogy closer at all, don’t fear for missing out. Here’s that teaser.

The preview sees Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and his incessantly overly-styled hair lead Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff into the titular multiverse. And just what is the multiverse? Maybe it’s a vault floating through the cosmos. Maybe it’s yet another false New York City street that’s actually somewhere in Georgia. Maybe it’s Benedict Cumberbatch having his hair over-styled in a slightly different way. It’s a multitude of things, the multiverse. Not a lot of Raimi, though, which is kind of a bummer.

We’ll see if any Raimisms eventually pop through the multiverse when the Doctor Strange sequel hits theaters May 6.
