Honey, I Shrunk the Kids remake to again enlarge Josh Gad into star

At last, a new generation of parents will understand the perils of shrinking their children.

According to Slashfilm, Disney is in development on a reboot of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, the film that made shrinking and interaction with ants comically cool long before Ant-Man hit theaters.

Like so many a recent reboot, the film will also be a pseudo sequel, with Rick Moranis’s lead, father and inventor Wayne Szalinski, now taken over by the nerdy son, Nick. That boy will be apparently be played by Josh Gad, the cinematic son none of us wanted but now we’re stuck with for some reason. Honey, I don’t even give a shit.
