The growing rogues gallery of The Batman has added its least eccentric character yet: Carmine Falcone. As confirmed by director Matt Reeves, Falcone will be joining Catwoman, Penguin, and Riddler in his upcoming superhero movie—and he’ll be played by John Turturro.
Previously portrayed by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins, Falcone is a pretty run-of-the-mill Mafioso, a mob boss first introduced as “The Roman” in the seminal 1987 series Batman: Year One. So while we still can’t get an appearance of Mr. Freeze since Schwarzenegger, don’t worry: your favorite, Carmine Falcone, is accounted for again.
