Despite their many successes, the original Hellboy movies had some issues. A lack of hardcore bloodshed wasn’t really one of them. Nonetheless, that’s the main thrust of this new Hellboy “sizzle reel” that highlights just how R-rated the reboot apparently is. It also gives our first look at Thomas Haden Church’s woefully Mystery Men-esque take on Lobster Johnson. And did we mention how, according to rumor, there’s a reason you still haven’t seen a Hellboy review? It’s that Lionsgate is hesitant to screen it for critics. Aw, crap…
Anyway, we’ll see how this turns out when it hits theaters this weekend.
