The trailer for Disney’s latest Star Wars series is here, and it looks like the apple has not fallen far from The Book of Boba Fett’s tree.
In Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, we’re yet again back to the all-too-familiar Tatooine, back with some all-too-familiar faces, and even back with Kenobi’s all-too-familiar backing track—The Phantom Menace’s iconic “Duel of the Fates.” Uncle Owen is back, folks! We all love Uncle Owen, and Disney is not above pandering to us Owen-heads with more of that UO content.
And you can forget about Baby Yoda, because guess what: now there’s Baby Luke. As Episode I taught us, it is vitally important that we see the Skywalker boys as race-loving nine-year-olds in order to understand their adult journey, so now we’re finally getting that with Luke.
We’ll see more of an aging hermit lurking around peeping on a boy when Obi-Wan Kenobi streams May 25.
