Spielberg’s Amazing Stories reboot is here

Back in 1985, still riding his career high of directing a segment in 1983’s The Twilight Zone: The Movie, ol’ Steve Spielberg decided to try his hand at making his own anthology genre series. But he would give his a far stupider name…

The result? Amazing Stories—a series nominated for a dozen Emmys but lasting only two seasons, because everyone just assumed it was an infomercial or something with a title like that.

But now, 35 years later, Spielberg is giving another shot. Thanks to the just-as-stupidly-named Apple TV+, Amazing Stories is returning for another ten-episode season, featuring the likes of Dylan O’Brien, Victoria Pedretti, Josh Holloway, Sasha Alexander, Edward Burns, Kerry Lynne Bishé, Whitney Coleman, Trisha Mashburn, Austin Stowell, Juliana Canfield, and the final performance of Robert Forster—who’s maybe just re-doing Unbreakable?

Find out for yourself by painfully subscribing to Apple TV+ on or after March 6.
