This Christmas, whatever it is these last couple Star Wars have been building to reaches its conclusion. Have one last look at what’s to come with the final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker, the film that will finally provide some stupid answer as to how killing off all known Skywalkers can be seen as the ascension of a family name that sounds like a Rascal scooter competitor.
As seen in this latest preview, it seems J.J. Abrams has not gotten over his Star Trek bathtub habit of shoving his spaceship toys underwater, just to watch them pop up again with a big ol’ splash. Kylo Ren is very huffy about getting wet in the process, and it leads to some more lightsaber fights, the apparent resurrection of Emperor Palpatine, and C-3PO seemingly about to hang himself by his own wires.
But at least you’ll get to see Lando and his cape again when this thing hits theaters December 20.
