Victim chosen to direct another Garfield movie

The cat that eats lasagna demands another movie, and Alcon Entertainment has chosen a sacrifice for their fat, orange god. According to Variety, The Emperor’s New Groove director Mark Dindal, who’s somehow done nothing since helming 2005’s Chicken Little, will direct a Garfield reboot. George Lopez and Dr. Ken writers Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove have penned the script about one of the pets a desperately sad, single man owns. Also, Alcon has explicitly said “its goal is to build a franchise of fully CG-animated Garfield feature films,” so get ready for a full-blown GCU, the Garfield Cinematic Universe we’ve always demanded. Nermal’s backstory is about to get real real.
