After more than 20 years of borrowing cuts for his always on-point soundtracks, Wes Anderson is ready to make some songs of his own. According to Charente Libre (via The Playlist), Anderson’s next project will be his first musical—and it will be set in post-WWII France. It’s already not hard to imagine the technicolor sets and costumes of Grand Budapest Hotel easily shifting into old-fashioned European musical mode, but for now we can only guess what the director has planned.
