The new Dark Tower? Just as bad as the old Dark Tower, apparently!
According to Deadline, Amazon has passed on the pilot they ordered for a new adaptation of Stephen King’s magnum opus, leaving producer/showrunner Glen Mazzara and MRC to shop their scripts around to other services.
The news comes two-and-a-half years since Sony made a pretty bad The Dark Tower adaptation meant to build into a “multi-platform universe.” That ultimately went nowhere, and this now seems doomed to a similar fate. We’ll just have to stick with the other fifty-some Stephen King things in various stages of production, huh?
