Per Variety, NBC has ordered a pilot for Langdon, a drama that would follow the early years of Dan Brown’s airport novel protagonist Robert Langdon. It’s said the initial arc will be based on The Lost Symbol, a story that sees the symbologist doing his usual bullshit—solving puzzles, uncovering global conspiracies—to save his kidnapped mentor. But now Dad can watch all that from the comfort of His Chair!
Since the series will recast the role made famous by Tom Hanks, Mom’s interest will of course hinge on whether the new actor also seems so nice.
