Jennifer Lopez is stripper Robin Hood (kind of?)—and her Merry Pole-Dancers include Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, Lili Reinhart, and Keke Palmer—in Lorene Scafaria’s Hustlers. Assuming you’re in a place where watching some strippers won’t be out of line, have a look with this first trailer.
Based on a true story (as detailed in The Hustlers at Scores, a 2015 New York article by Jessica Pressler), the film focuses on an exotic dance troupe that’s grown tired of paying out their hard-earned money to club owners. So, led by Lopez’s Ramona, they get entrepreneurial/vengeful, hustling Wall Street shit-heads as self-serving comeuppance for all the money those guys have swindled. Also, Frank Whaley is apparently one of those guys, which is both completely apt and utterly dated, right?
Anyway, we’ll find out how Lopez fooled dudes for the rocks that she got when Hustlers hits September 13.
