Based on the Joan Didion novel of the same name, The Last Thing He Wanted sees Anne Hathaway as a Washington Post reporter who somehow ends up involved in dad Willem Dafoe’s illicit Central American arms deals. Rosie Perez, Ben Affleck, Toby Jones, and Todd from Last Man on Earth also get involved to varying degrees. Mudbound‘s Dee Rees co-writes and directs. And the real arms deal? You guessed it: the warm embrace of Affleck’s remaining Batman biceps.
