It seems another actor has hit the mass quota that automatically fires them straight into the Fast/Furious franchise.
According to Deadline, Jack Reacher star Alan Ritchson has belatedly joined the cast of the series’ tenth entry, Fast X.
As reported a couple weeks back, Fast X already completed a week of shoots before swapping directors, Justin Lin departing and Louis Leterrier taking over. It might seem odd that another cast member would now be tossed in so late in the game, but that’s just the way the laws of Fast/Furious are written. If a man gains enough notoriety as being a huge dude, he simply has to stop whatever else he’s doing, get in his car, and crash it into the set of whatever Fast and/or Furious thing that’s going on. Legally, he is now “family.”
Ritchson joins fellow new family member Jason Momoa in simply being too notably large to not cram himself into a vehicle for one of these goddammers.
