Remember how there’s a couple movies about the Reddit/Gamestop stock debacle in the works? Well, one of them now has a cast of notable stoners and formerly-muffled superhero movie villains set to star.
Deadline brings word that Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, and the inescapable Pete Davidson are lined up to star in Dumb Money, an adaptation of The Antisocial Network—Ben Mezrich’s nonfiction book about how a bunch of meme-spouting Redditors got rich by exposing a major hedge fund’s shorts game. The project will reunite director Craig Gillespie with his Pam & Tommy boys Rogen and Stan for the project. It will also reunite him with the story of some people being fucked while some others make some money off it online.
