Mulan‘s release may have been bogged down by our ongoing pandemic, but that’s not going to stop Disney’s relentless pursuit to joylessly recreate their entire animated catalogue.
THR brings word that, now more than half a decade out from the dueling Hercules movies of 2014, Disney has decided it’s been long enough that they can do a remake of their Hercules of 1997. Jean-Claude Van Johnson creator Dave Callaham—who has writing credits on Doom, The Expendables, Wonder Woman 1984, and the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings—is handling the screenplay, continuing his extensive work with muscly dudes. Joe and Anthony Russo are producing, because they also love muscle-hunks.
