Drink to them: Walt and Jesse will turn up in Better Call Saul’s final season

It’s official: Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul will see a 42-year-old Jesse Pinkman calling people bitches again.

At a panel over the weekend, Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould revealed, “I don’t want to spoil things for the audience, but I will say the first question we had when we started the show was, ‘Are we gonna see Walt and Jesse on the show?’ Instead of evading, I’ll just say yeah.

“How or the circumstances or anything [like why they’re now old in the past], you’ll just have to discover that for yourself, but I have to say that’s one of many things that I think you’ll discover this season.”

Granted, we live in a post-Irishman world, so erasing a few crow’s feet off of Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston is probably not that big of a deal for a franchise that had Gus Frink get fully Two-Faced with some VFX a decade ago. But sort of sad that even a Breaking Bad spin-off has fallen into the corporate franchise magnet that pulls every major character back into their respective series. Yeah, bitch. Magnets.
