Suggesting that Blade Runner 2049 will at last tackle the long-asked question of what other little origami guys Gaff can fold, Edward James Olmos has revealed that he’ll reprise his role in the sequel.
“Yes, I am going to be Gaff in Blade Runner 2049,” Olmos told TheTRENDTalk (via). “[The film] is not about Gaff. But it’s about someone who is going to try to find out certain things about [the characters] who were [around] back then. They come to me—I’m now retired.
“Just know that my role is like it was in the original—I only had four scenes, I think. In this one, I only have one. But it’s again a poignant little piece of work.”
