First inconsequential stills from Ghostbusters: Afterlife emerge

We were supposed to get a Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer this week. But while it now apparently wont hit until Monday, here’s what we have for now: some pretty boring photos from the film!

Because even though the first two Ghostbusters were definitively about blue-collar saviors of New York City during a massive crisis, prescient of 9/11 decades before anyone could know what that would mean, now it’s a kid driving around a field, so that had better pay off big time.

pIt's a trap Paul Rudd's Mr. Grooberson examines a relic from the Ghostbusters of yesteryear.p — Paul Rudd holds the Ghostbusters’ signature thing that holds the ghosts like a cat in a shoebox. Note the wedding ring on his pinky: this is the lazy way to make him a safe and vulnerable widower love interest for Carrie Coon’s character, allowing him access to her own narrow box.

pMckenna Grace as Phoebe and Logan Kim as her friend explore ruins of an old mine.p — Also, these other suburban kids with bikes are in the movie. Wolfhard aside, is this a Stranger Things-ing of Ghostbusters or what? Perhaps we’ll find out next week.
