Determined to have no less than three shows that Trump will get huffy about, HBO has started development on its first entirely Spanish series. The premium channel has reportedly just given the greenlight to Los Espookys, a new comedy created by and set to star Portlandia’s Fred Armisen. Rising comedian and SNL writer Julio Torres and The Chris Gethard Show’s Ana Fabrega will co-star and co-write with Armisen, with Brazilian actor Bernardo Velasco also co-starring. The series is said to be “set in a strange and dreamy version of present-day Mexico City and follows a group of friends turning their love for horror into a peculiar business.” Never before has HBO so directly gone after that so-coveted demographic: Guillermo del Toro.
