Kenneth Branagh’s follow-up to the deplorable Artemis Fowl finds the director back in the familiar waters of Agatha Christie with Death on the Nile. Branagh reprises his role as Hercule Peroit, with Armie Hammer, Gal Gadot, Annette Bening, Rose Leslie, Russell Brand, Letitia Wright, Jennifer Saunders, Sophie Okonedo, Dawn French, Tom Bateman, Emma Mackey, and Ali Fazal filling up the rest of the murderboat. Josh Gad was already in Murder on the Orient Express, so he couldn’t be in this one. Series continuity has never been more appreciated.
