New Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer comes foot-fluttering in

The end of Marvel’s Phase Four—whatever that even means at this point—is nearly upon us. On the big screen, it closes with next month’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and here’s the full trailer.

In the wake of Chadwick Boseman’s untimely death, the film folds that real-life mourning into the fictional with T’Challa—Black Panther himself—also being mourned. There’s a new Black Panther in town, and all indications are that it’s T’Challa’s sister, Shuri (Letitia Wright, whose questionable statements about vaccines, the trans community, and more are apparently being swept under Marvel’s all-encompassing rug).

There’s also a new Iron Man in town: Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), aka Ironheart. And there’s a new Namor in town: actor Tenoch Huerta’s Mayan-inspired take on Marvel’s wing-ankled Aquaman. Plus, Michaela Coel! And some random, expendable guys with guns! Lotta new people in town. Wakanda is becoming a real tourist hotspot.

But will that be its downfall? Or will being a Wheel of Fortune destination prize work out? We’ll find out November 11.
