‘Silicon Valley’ and ‘Veep’ Will Return, T.J. Miller Will Not

Sundays on HBO will remain a home for smart comedy and gangling weirdos. The premium cable network just announced renewals for their award-winning comedies Veep and Silicon Valley. The series will begin airing their respective seventh and fifth seasons sometime next year. But for Silicon Valley, things will be a little different.

T.J. Miller, who’s played pot-smoke-blowing blowhard Erlich Bachman since Silicon‘s first episode, will not be returning to the show. According to HBO’s official statement on the matter, Miller and producers “mutually agreed” that he would be written out of the show at the end of the currently-running season. With the rest of the cast expected to return, it is not yet clear who will shout at Jian Yang.
