Upper-class housewife ennui meets one of those Guinness World Record videos where some guy eats a bunch of glass or watches or whatever in the debut feature of Carlo Mirabella-Davis, Swallow.
The psychological thriller sees Haley Bennett as a newly-pregnant woman feeling the pressures of her high status marriage. To get back some control, she turns to pica, a condition that sees her gulping down inedible objects like marbles and, oof, push-pins. And if you imagine it would hurt to eat a push-pin, you should watch her eat a push-pin, because that already hurts quite a bit already.
If you want to try to stomach the rest of her sundry belly contents, Swallow hits theaters and on-demand March 6.
