After a competitive bidding war, New Line just paid over a million dollars for the movie idea “what if there was weed that gave you superpowers?”
The studio has reportedly paid seven figures for Go the Fuck to Sleep writer Adam Mansbach to sit down and write Super High. Based on a concept definitely conceived while stoned and watching Project Power on Netflix, the comedy imagines a world where there’s some kind of marijuana strain that turns people into superheroes. Andy Samberg, Craig Robinson, and Common are already attached to produce and star.
