Just over a year since hearing Seth Rogen was producing an animated, seventh Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, here comes an eighth.
Deadline brings word that Paramount has hired SNL’s Colin Jost and brother Casey Jost to write yet another tale of adolescent, reptilian martial arts—lean, evergreen, and on the screen. Plot details aren’t yet known, and given we’ve already had the turtles travel through time and to other dimensions, there’s not really a lot that’s off the table. Maybe they’ll all sound like they’re from Staten Island now.
Michael Bay—who produced those last two wretchedly-redesigned Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies—is back on as a producer, so it’s also unclear whether this will be a reboot or sequel. Keep your schedule open, Megan Fox!
