Brendan Fraser just got into a Scorsese movie

Two decades since Bedazzled, Brendan Fraser seems to have finally made a successful deal with the Devil.

Doom Patrol is headed into a third season; he just did a Steven Soderbergh movie; he’s doing a Darren Aronofsky movie; and now he’s got two more big projects on the way—one of them from Martin fuckin’ Scorsese.

Our former George of the Jungle will reportedly join Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon. Fraser will play a lawyer in a real-life story set a century ago, when Oklahoma’s Osage tribe found oil on their reservation. The natives subsequently began getting murdered, bringing the then-nascent FBI in to investigate. Apple has budgeted the film at $215 million. That’s Fraser money, baby.

But that’s not the end of the Fraserenaissance. He’s also just signed on for Brothers, director Max Barbakow’s follow-up to his acclaimed Palm Springs. The comedy’s plot isn’t known, but Fraser will be joining a cast that includes Peter Dinklage, Josh Brolin, and Glenn Close.
