While we’re all just barely breezing into the impending armageddon, George Miller is already moving on to the post-apocalypse.
In an article about how the coronavirus pandemic is affecting Hollywood production schedules, Variety notes that the Mad Max: Fury Road director is still plowing ahead on his spin-off, Furiosa. It’s said he’s already meeting with actors to join the film—among them, rising star Anya Taylor-Joy, who it’s said has auditioned over Skype.
Shooting is loosely slated for next year. In the meantime, hopefully Miller will do the responsible thing and give hospitals his supply of Immortan Joe respirators.
